4.021 How to Design Final Project

Inspired by Zipper Tube, Georgia Tech research

Two states: open and collapsed.

Transformable closed surface can fold in two axes.

Mechanism modularly aggregates while remaining flexible.

The initial Zipper Tube had an open top, which I modified and designed a geometry for the cap that folds together with mechanism and maintains the same level of flexibility.
